North American ISPs Can Now Automate Network Expansion Without Adding Engineering Headcount

East West Systems, Inc. partners with PacketFront Software to bring BECS® – the network orchestration platform behind some of Europe’s fastest-growing fibre operators – to the US market for the first time.

MOUNT ARLINGTON, N.J., April 2026 – East West Systems, Inc. today announced a strategic channel partnership with PacketFront Software Solutions AB (Sweden), under which EWS becomes the authorized North American distributor of BECS® – a network automation platform that has already transforme d how fibre operators across the United Kingdom and Nordics manage and scale their networks. This marks the first time BECS has been made commercially available to US and Canadian internet service providers through an in-market channel partner.

THE PROBLEM

Building and running a modern internet network is an engineering-intensive process. Every time a provider adds a new neighborhood, a new business customer, or a new segment of fibre, an engineer has to manually program the hardware – device by device. At a small scale, that works. At the scale demanded by today’s fibre expansion programs, it breaks.

The consequences are familiar to any network operations leader: provisioning backlogs that delay revenue, configuration errors that cause outages, over-reliance on a small number of senior engineers who carry critical knowledge in their heads, and an inability to grow the network faster than the team can physically keep up.

WHAT CHANGES NOW

BECS® functions as a digital brain for the network. The moment a piece of equipment is plugged in, BECS configures it automatically – no engineer required. This is Zero Touch Provisioning at carrier scale, and it fundamentally changes the economics of network expansion: providers can now grow their fibre footprint at the speed of demand, not the speed of their headcount.

The platform works across hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Huawei, Calix, and others without locking providers into a single vendor. It maintains a real-time, accurate record of every device and every service on the network, and it validates every configuration change against the intended outcome – catching errors before they become outages.

In deployments across the UK and Europe, BECS has enabled operators to triple network capacity without adding technical staff, cut service activation times from several working days to under a minute, and reduce manual configuration effort by more than 80 percent.

WHY THIS MATTERS FOR NORTH AMERICA

US regional carriers and fibre ISPs are in the middle of the largest network expansion in a generation, driven by federal broadband funding and intensifying competition. The challenge is no longer whether to build – it is whether the operational infrastructure exists to build fast enough. Most Tier 2 and Tier 3 operators are still managing their networks manually or with patchwork script-based tools that cannot scale. Purpose-built, enterprise-grade automation at this level has, until now, been the exclusive domain of Tier 1 carriers with the budget and engineering resources to build it themselves.

Through the EWS partnership, BECS is now accessible to regional operators and managed service providers across North America – with local commercial support, implementation expertise, and integration into the broader EWS enterprise technology portfolio.

AVAILABILITY

BECS® is available to North American operators immediately through East West Systems, Inc. Organisations interested in understanding how network automation applies to their specific infrastructure are invited to contact EWS directly to arrange a technical briefing.
